MORE ABOUT ELIZABETH SPEHAR

Elizabeth Spehar has been tutoring for the last 10 years; beginning while she pursued her Masters in Education at the University on Minnesota. After graduating with her M.Ed, she taught for 3 years at St Louis Park High School. She has continued to tutor while raising her three young daughters.

Elizabeth competed and served as a captain on the track and cross country team at the U of MN. In both her pursuit of her education and her running career she was rewarded by the investment of hard work and saw much growth and success. She applies this experience and her leadership in her own teaching and tutoring, emphasizing that Mathematics is an opportunity to learn and grow and with practice and effort, you can meet your goals. So many feel hopeless and/or helpless approaching Math, but Elizabeth promotes mindset and conceptual growth. Her students both accomplish their tasks and grow in confidence, helping them to approach future work with independence and perseverance.
